MobiKwik shares jump nearly 10% after fintech firm reports record quarterly profit

Shares of One MobiKwik Systems rose nearly 10% on Monday afternoon after the digital payments and lending company reported its best-ever quarterly profit.

The stock climbed to Rs 234.99 on the NSE following the announcement of its July-September (second quarter of FY27) numbers.

Profit swings from loss

The company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 11.8 crore for the quarter. In the same period a year earlier, it had reported a net loss of Rs 28.6 crore.

Compared with the previous quarter, profit rose by more than 55% from Rs 7.6 crore. This was the fourth profitable quarter in a row for the company.

Revenue from operations grew 9% from a year earlier to Rs 1,082.6 crore.

Operating earnings also improved sharply. EBITDA stood at a record Rs 22.7 crore, against a loss of Rs 6.4 crore at this stage of FY26.

Payments and lending growth

The value of transactions handled on the platform, known as gross merchandise value (GMV), reached an all-time high of Rs 59,677 crore. That is 35% higher than a year ago in the payments business.

GMV from lending disbursals rose 34% year-on-year to Rs 1,083 crore.

Better margins in both payments and financial services lifted contribution profit to Rs 143.9 crore, a 50% increase over last year, the company said in a press release.

Management comments

Co-founder, managing director and CEO Bipin Preet Singh said the fourth straight profitable quarter showed the company was making quick progress towards a sustainable business.

He pointed out that MobiKwik has crossed Rs 1,000 crore in lending disbursals. Revenue from merchant payments, he said, grew 150% from a year earlier.

Singh added that the company expects the operating leverage in its business model to build up as it turns into an “AI-first company”. He said continued attention to controlling costs and running efficiently would support profits as the business expands.

AI use in coding

The company said it is using artificial intelligence far more widely. AI now generates 92% of its code, up from 80% in the previous quarter. MobiKwik said this has helped it bring products to market 55% faster.

How the stock has performed

Despite Monday’s jump, the shares remain slightly lower for the year, down nearly 3% in 2026 so far. Over the past year, the stock has fallen more than 14%.

The recent trend has been better. The shares have gained 5% over the past week and more than 14% over the past month.

MobiKwik has a market capitalisation of around Rs 1,790 crore.
